The Arrr-gon Trail: Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

The short version

The game itself collects nothing about you: there are no accounts, and your voyages stay on your device. The iPhone and iPad app shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some data to show and measure those ads, as described below.

What stays on your device

Your saved voyage, settings, Legends and Graves are stored only on your own device so the game can continue where you left off. They are never sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them.

Ads (iPhone and iPad app)

The app uses Google AdMob to show ads between voyages, and an optional ad you can choose to watch to save a crew member. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking when iOS asks), your approximate location from your IP address, how you interact with ads, and crash and performance data. This is not linked to your name or any account in the game.

In the UK, EU and some other regions you are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice at any time under Settings › Ad privacy choices on the title screen. You can also turn off tracking for all apps in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

Google's use of this data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy, and how Google uses data from apps that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Internet

The game plays fully offline. When you are online, the app contacts Google only to load ads.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and the game itself collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes

If this ever changes, this page will be updated before the app does.
